Video Content Terms
Version 1 — applies to any video you record and post through the app.
1. What these terms cover
These terms apply whenever you record and post a video through the app — for example a request for a friend’s opinion, a reply to such a request, a review, or a recommendation (your “Video”). By tapping to post a Video, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not post.
2. You keep ownership; you grant us a licence
You retain all ownership of your Video. You grant Convomesh, the store the Video relates to, and our service providers a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable and sub-licensable licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt (for formatting and display only), publish, publicly display and distribute the Video within the app and on relevant storefront and product pages, to help other shoppers make decisions. This licence lasts while the Video remains posted and for a short period afterwards needed to remove it from active systems and caches.
3. Use of your name, voice and image
You consent to the use of your name, voice, image and likeness as they appear in the Video for the purposes described in clause 2. You waive any right to inspect or approve how the Video is used within those purposes, and you are not entitled to any payment for its use.
4. Who may post
You may only post a Video if you are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) and you have the legal right to grant the licence in clause 2. Do not post a Video that features any other identifiable person unless they have given you their permission to do so on these terms.
5. Your promises about the Video
You confirm that the Video is your own, that posting it and our use of it will not infringe or violate anyone’s rights (including intellectual property, privacy and publicity rights), and that it complies with these terms and all applicable laws.
6. Content that is not allowed
Do not post a Video that contains, promotes or facilitates: sexual content or nudity; the sexualisation or exploitation of a minor; graphic violence, gore or self-harm; hatred, harassment or discrimination against a person or group; threats or incitement to violence; content that is defamatory, deceptive or fraudulent; or anything that is otherwise unlawful. We may remove any Video that breaches this clause.
7. Removing your Video (and our right to remove)
You may remove your Video at any time from where you posted it. When removed, it stops being displayed and the underlying file is deleted from our active storage. We may also remove or withhold any Video that we reasonably consider breaches these terms, is unlawful, or is the subject of a valid complaint, with or without notice.
8. Reporting and review
Any person may report a Video. We review reported Videos and remove those that breach these terms or the law. An automated safety check may screen public Videos and withhold apparent violations pending review. These measures are provided on a reasonable-efforts basis and do not guarantee that all non-compliant content is caught.
9. No payment; voluntary posting
Posting a Video is voluntary and unpaid. Nothing in these terms creates an employment, agency or partnership relationship between you and Convomesh.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Where a change materially affects the licence or your rights, we will ask you to accept the updated terms before you post again. Your existing Videos remain governed by the version you accepted when you posted them.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. You and Convomesh submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that country. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection or data-protection laws that cannot be excluded by agreement.
